ASF Italia’s first mission was with ASF France,  following a teaching cycle that had begun in 2003. The objective was to move on  from the theory to practical diagnosis and treatment,  choosing the points where the needles should be inserted.

Studied pathologies

-insomnia

-tiredness and  weakness

-headaches

- cardio-vascular pathologies

• cardialgia
• Rhythm problems
• Heart failure
• Arteritis  and varicose veins

-digestive tract pathologies

-lung pathologies: cough

-urinary tract pathologies: painful micturition, renal colic, formation of kidney stones

- rheumatology: lumboischial pain

-pediatrics: general and specific details of child physiology, demonstration of different curative massages

-Liang gong shi ba fa, an energetic gym exercise, to maintain or regain suppleness of the joints.

The teachers found a great deal of interest was shown by their colleagues – pupils. They were enthusiastic to learn an efficient and economical method of treatment ,  given that the patients, even when admitted to hospital, have to pay for medicines which often cost more than they can afford. Furthermore, even when the doctors have made a correct diagnosis, the medicines they need are not available.
